Mentioned in the His Hers Chicago blog: "Vintage Underground has been open for about 2 years and is filled with reasonably priced jewelry, most of which are drool worthy. There were
cases and cases of brooches, earrings, and unique statement pieces as well as a selection of vintage shoes, bags, hats, clothing."

Reknown interior designer, Nate Berkus uses a brooch from Vintage Underground to add pizzazz to a House Beautiful favorite headboard. Nate says "When a bedroom calls for drama...this headboard...is ornate and bold. I like the idea of upholstering it in rich velvet. For the tufting, I would use glittery vintage brooches in place of buttons. It'll up the design ante."

A great resource for the best places to shop around the country! Featured in the March 09 issue.
"Hidden down a flight of stairs off the busy North-and-Damen intersection is this months-old subterranean trove of retro accessories and costume jewelry. The garage-sale-like bargains---brass bangles tagged $12 and statement-making pendant necklaces for under $20---allow for ultra-satisfying sprees."

"unusual finds" for sure! This is a very cool secondhand spot that just opened up a few weeks ago. They had all kinds of vintage and costume jewelry etc...
